The Art of Fashion

At a Fall 2018 exhibit at the Women’s Museum of Art in Washington, DC, the sisters of Rodarte brought "Fashion as Art" to light in an exquisitely designed, and displayed exhibition. Even the novice enthusiast could appreciate and see that a studded leather dress or a floral adorn gown could be both an art piece and a garment to be worn at the same time. As I was once so fervently told, a photograph tells a story, a picture is the cliff notes. Whether pictures or photographs, the following shots speak volumes about the beauty, detail, and exquisiteness of fashion and why I believe it’s more than a dress or outfit you wear. Fashion can be the reason and the outcome of many circumstances.
